Happy Hour Finder (“the app,” “we,” “us”) helps you discover happy-hour deals at bars and restaurants near you. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version: we don’t have user accounts, we don’t sell or share your personal data, we don’t use advertising or analytics trackers, and we use your location only — and only while you’re using the app — to show you nearby deals.
Location. With your permission, the app uses your device’s precise location while you are using the app to find happy-hour deals near you. Your coordinates are sent to our servers solely to look up nearby venues and deals and return the results. We do not associate your location with your identity, store a history of where you’ve been, or use your location for advertising or tracking. Granting location is optional — you can instead choose a neighbourhood or search an address manually, and the app remains fully usable.
On-device data. Your recently selected locations and filter preferences are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app.
No account, no personal profile. The app does not require you to register or sign in, and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or similar personal information.
No third-party trackers. The app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
We use the information above only to provide the app’s core function: showing you relevant, location-aware happy-hour deals. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
The app communicates only with our own backend service, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services. Deal content shown in the app is compiled by our backend from publicly available sources; that process happens on our servers and does not involve your personal information. Our hosting provider processes requests on our behalf and is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes.
We do not retain your location tied to your identity. Routine server logs may contain transient technical request metadata for security and reliability, retained for a limited period and not used to profile you.
Happy Hour Finder is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed to children. It contains references to alcohol and is rated 17+.
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (encryption via HTTPS) and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
